Marketing in 2024: This will be important

Is your company planning for 2024? Here are four things we think will be important for our customers.

1. Work with channel mix and strategy

Major US players such as Google and Meta (owner of Facebook and Instagram) are in trouble. If anything, this has shown us that it can be worthwhile not to put all your eggs in one basket. Maybe it's time to consider new channels? How about spreading your advertising budget out a bit and trying something new? More channels means more legs to stand on.

At the same time, more and more people are becoming aware that advertising money is disappearing from the country. Why not consider advertising through Norwegian solutions and newspapers next year? Hugs that the latter helps to keep our local press alive.

2. Ask artificial intelligence for help

New tools like ChatGPT make it easier to get help with website and social media work. Do you need a blog post or text for a Facebook post? Ask the service for help, and you'll get a text suggestion in no time. All you need to do is adapt and quality assure. It doesn't get any easier! Squarespace has also developed its own writing assistant, which we hope will eventually be available in Norwegian.

3. New version of Squarespace

This year, Squarespace launched a completely new platform, Squarespace 7.1. With this, we are better equipped for the future: better SEO functionality, adaptation to universal design, new design options and a simpler user interface. It is on the new platform that Squarespace will drive the most development in the coming years.

We recommend all our customers who still have Squarespace 7.0 to convert to the new platform.

4. Video still works best

The amount of video content has increased explosively in recent years, and there is no indication that this will change next year. We've become accustomed to Reels and short videos, and YouTube has surpassed Netflix for the first time. Short-form video for social media will continue to work well as part of marketing in 2024.
