LinkedIn for businesses - why?
Many people are curious about LinkedIn as a marketing channel these days. But is it right for your business?
LinkedIn is suitable for both small and large companies, but is perhaps particularly useful for those who run business to business - B2B. The reason for this is that the channel is designed for content that strengthens your brand, increases your network and builds leads (over time).
This is also the channel that people say they trust the most. On LinkedIn, people keep in touch on a professional level, and there are far fewer online trolls and cat videos than in many other places.
3 reasons why your company should be on LinkedIn:
Branding: Who are they and what's important to you
Networking: Customer care and sales
Recruitment: Employer branding
Close ties between company and employee
One of the things that makes LinkedIn unique is the close connection between personal profiles (employees) and the business side (the company).
We experience the greatest response when employees themselves are active and use the channel - as opposed to content being posted from a faceless company name. Your customers simply trust a person more than a company - and here LinkedIn offers unique opportunities.

Over one million Norwegians
Today, more than one million Norwegians over the age of 18 have a profile on LinkedIn. There are more men than women, evenly distributed by age. It's also a growing social platform - where useful tips and industry insights are shared. There are longer texts and it's personal. This is where you offer yourself as a representative of the workplace. If you are curious about more figures, you can look at the report from Ipsos SoMe Tracker Q2, 2023:
More targeted advertising
LinkedIn also has its own advertising platform. The big advantage here is that LinkedIn has completely different information than, for example, Facebook does. You can target, for example, industry, job title, seniority, education and much more. Especially useful for those who work B2B!
But! In our experience, advertising on LinkedIn is relatively expensive compared to many of the other social channels. That's why you can get just as much in return for working on organic visibility before you start advertising.
