New agency manager in Gasta
For 26 years, Vidar Bondevik has been agency manager at Gasta. For three of those years, Astri Knudsen has been assistant agency manager. Now we're switching roles!
From September 1, Astri will take over the role as agency manager. Vidar will take up a position as advisor and business developer.
- "I have worked with Astri for almost eight years and feel very confident that she will be the right person to take over this position," says Vidar.
- "We work well together and focus on the same things. This has been a gradual transition, so there won't be any major changes to Gasta any time soon," adds Astri.
Set for growth
Vidar wants to spend more time on customers and projects, and through this change we are laying the foundation for working more on strategy and branding for customers. This is an extension of the initiative we started in 2021, when we put in place a new crack team to work with digital marketing.
- We're a solid team, with long experience and a lot of knowledge. We complement each other well. I'm proud of the team at Gasta and take it as a great vote of confidence to continue hiring this team," says Astri.
Even though we are experiencing challenging times in the industry, we have seen good growth in sales so far this year. Our goal is to reach 10 million in 2023 - a milestone!
Focus going forward
The focus going forward will be to work more with existing customers on digital marketing services, such as content production, search engine optimization, campaigns, digital storytelling, etc.
This year, we were awarded the status of Squarespace Enterprise customer, as one of three agencies in Scandinavia. This gives us a boost in terms of expertise and access to more new customers who want websites in Squarespace. The core of Gasta is still to be the Squarespace specialist, so this is a good step for us.
And Vidar?
He will probably be at work at Campus Sogndal at 07:00 on September 4, ready to make coffee for colleagues and to work more with exciting Gasta customers. Because 62 is no age - not even in the agency business!
