Private profile:
Update your profile! Use a recent photo, fill in the fields in your CV and show off your skills.
LinkedIn is all about networking. Add people you know and follow relevant people in your industry.
Long posts are captivating - often up to 2000 characters! People have more time on LinkedIn and take the time to read texts that provide value.
Get involved! Like and comment on other people's posts. Remember to tag relevant people and companies in your posts and always reply to comments.
Post selfies! Yes, you read that right. Selfies actually get 3 times more engagement, we learned from the stage at Social Media Days 2023.
Company page:
Make sure that employees link their profiles to the company page.
Refine the profile: Use the logo as your profile picture and add a header that supports your message. Fill in details and contact info, and write a good description.
Target audiences in multiple countries? Use the language tool in your profile so that people can view your information in a language they understand.
Make it personal here too. Tag relevant people and businesses in posts - but only if you're sure they'll interact with your post.
Write slightly shorter texts. Try to stay under 400 characters.
Don't post too many links! Even though you want to drive traffic to your website, LinkedIn wants to keep users on their own platform. Therefore, you should not post links too often.
