How they got on the first page of Google
Maskinsenteret Vestland would come first in the search for pöttinger.
As a dealer, it is strategically important for Maskinsenteret Vestland to be visible when people search for agricultural equipment. We've helped them get on the front page of two important supplier names.
A year and a half ago, we created a new website for Maskinsenteret, the leading supplier of agricultural machinery in Western Norway. A few months later, they contacted us with a slightly different problem:
They wanted to be visible when potential customers search for the two manufacturers Pöttinger and Kuhn in Google.
In January, they were ranked 73rd and 27th respectively. Our job was to get them on the front page.
This is how we did it:
Looked at the competitors in search and what it would take to beat them
Design your own landing pages about Kuhn and Pöttinger that respond to searches
Worked with optimized content on landing pages
Boost traffic with paid keyword ads
Distributed the landing pages in other channels to get more traffic and more links in
In this way, Google understands that Maskinsenteret has good, useful and relevant content that responds well to the search, and will show them higher up in the results list.
From invisible to visible
The graphs below show how Maskinsenteret has developed on the two keywords since January. From position 73.5 to 9 on the search pöttinger and from position 27 to 5.5 on the search kuhn. This means that they are now on the first page for both - which makes it much more likely that people will click through to their website than before.
