We love creating websites in Squarespace

Squarespace is simply a brilliant tool, both for us as developers and designers - and for you as a user.

Squarespace is what we call a content management system (CMS), or a publishing tool. If you're unfamiliar with Squarespace, you may have heard of Wordpress, Joomla or DotNetNuke. They are all different CMS. We have tried different solutions for our customers, but have never been more satisfied than now.

Having used Squarespace for over three years, and developed almost 300 websites in this software, we can only say that it is a brilliant tool.

100 percent flexibility

First and foremost, it's a software with 100 percent flexibility. In the first instance, you can easily customize the design in a template. Enter the menu under design and set colors, fonts and sizes.

At the next level, we have what is called CSS coding. If you want changes beyond what the template offers, one of our developers can go in and recode. You can move boxes, change the menu colors, add frames and add more functions. Like this menu at Sognenett.

At the top level you have developer mode. There are virtually no limits here. Our developers can have a lot of fun here, it's just a matter of time.

Inline editing: You click where you want to edit and work directly.

Inline editing

Another brilliant feature is what we call inline editing. You click directly where you want to edit and work directly on the page. It will then look like it does when you press save, you don't need a preview, as in WordPress, for example. This makes it easy to move things around and see directly how the elements will look in relation to each other before you save - which is practical when the page is live.

Drag and drop

If you're setting up or editing a page, it's all done using drag and drop. You bring in the elements you want and move them around. You can have images in, above, below or to the side of the text. Take the image and drag it larger or smaller. When you're satisfied, press save and it will be published directly. It couldn't be simpler!

A supplier

Another advantage of Squarespace is that all functions are controlled by the same supplier. There are not 100 plugins delivered by different subcontractors. So you know it will work when you launch.

Update with an app

Squarespace has an app you can download on your mobile. This app makes it possible to update articles, operational messages or similar. If you have employees who work a lot in the field and need to update the status of development, operational messages or similar, such an app is brilliant.

Extremely user-friendly

Many of the points above show that the software is exceptionally simple for you as a user. You can edit directly in Squarespace and move elements around as you like using drag and drop. You can easily optimize the page for search engines, add images and connect to social media.

Give Squarespace a try and you'll see that you love what we do!
