Nøgne Ø with new website at record speed

"The uncompromising brewery". A slogan that shows that they are a brewery without shortcuts, where only the best is good enough.

With sales of 1.5 million liters of beer in 2015, Nøgne Ø is by far the largest microbrewery in Norway. A lot of work goes into the marketing, but until now it has been illegal to present alcoholic beverages on the website.

- "Since new regulations were introduced in the fall, it was urgent to get new websites in place," says Tom Young, Marketing Manager at Nøgne Ø.

Can showcase beer

On November 1, new notes were added to the Alcohol Act, stating that it is permitted "... to provide sober information, in pictures, about products on their websites". As a result, Nøgne Ø can now present all its beers with photos.

- This is important to us in the brewing industry, so we made a quick start on new websites. But we couldn't reach the goal on our own, we were missing something. Gasta is supposed to be at the forefront of the Squarespace publishing tool in Norway, so we contacted them and they helped us in a very short time," says Young.

Squarespace - a great tool

Nøgne Ø had an outdated system based on Joomla that was cumbersome and difficult to use. They needed something more user-friendly and landed on the Squarespace tool after recommendations from several people.

- "But we got to a point when it was getting close to launch that we couldn't get the rest right. We lacked the design aspect," says Young.

Simon Falkauskas of Gasta got in touch when Nøgne Ø got in touch, and in December the new website was launched - presenting all types of beer.

- "We've received a lot of great feedback and are very pleased. We now have our own stamp on the site, in a beautiful design. And the publishing tool is completely different from what we had before. It's user-friendly and works well for the customer. We get to present the beer in a good way," says Young, and adds:

- We are very pleased with the result and grateful that we got help from Gasta in such a short time.

And we at Gasta are happy to have such an uncompromising customer in our portfolio.
