Have you received an email from Anders Olsen at DNS Norway?
We at Gasta and several of our customers have received an email informing them that a third party is trying to register "your" domain name.
In return for you paying for domain rent 10 years (!) in the future, they offer to "protect" your domain.
They offer: "We can register the domain name for you for a period of ten years. Your domain name will not only be registered for this period, but also protected. The annual price is 325 per year. The unique total price is 3250 (excl. VAT).
This is pure fraud!
But they are right that the price is UNIQUE. You can buy domains yourself at Domeneshop (NOK 120/year) or through us (NOK 190/year). You pay annually - not 10 years in the future, and you get the protection you need!
Then you get an email from this Anders Olsen in DNS Norway - press DELETE:-)

If a third party registers the domain name, this can have far-reaching consequences. This could include confusion in the search engines or damage to your reputation.
However, we may reject the third party and redirect the domain name www.gasta.co to your current domain name www.gasta.no.
Basically, you get the first choice of the domain name. This avoids possible problems in the future.
We can register the domain name for you for a period of ten years. Your domain name will not only be registered for this period, but also protected. The annual price is 325 per year. The unique total price is 3250 (excl. VAT).
Do you want to register the domain name for your own organization?
Please reply to this email with your name, address and VAT ID number within 48 hours of receiving this email.
If we have your permission, we reject the third party and register the domain name for you.
