New image block in Squarespace

Now it's easier to work with photos and texts.

In Squarespace, all functionality is built into the system through various blocks that are easily accessible. Image Block has now been launched in a new version (beta), and with this launch you can easily place text on photos, under photos and on backgrounds. All quickly and easily accessible with five different layouts:

Poster Layout

Write the text directly on the image. The text is "live" and not part of the image file, and is therefore also accessible to search engines and easy to change. Be careful - make sure the text is easy to read.

Card Layout

Place the text to the left or right of the image. The text is easy to read on a single color surface. Great for presenting employees, for example. On mobile, the text appears under the image.

Overlap Layout

Here the text overlaps the image and the color surface.

Collage Layout

Here, the text appears well on its own color surface in the picture. Can be great for highlighting hall cabinets, for example, as here.

Stack Layout

This is brilliant! In the past, this was time-consuming to achieve, but now it's easy to set up multiple-column photos and text. Easy to read and elegant - even on mobile

Check out the new image block

Once on the page, drag the cursor to the left and click on the insertion point (bubble). Click Image. Retrieve an image from the disk and then click Design in the menu. This is where you'll find all these great new layout functions.
