Celebrating anniversary with "Scrollytelling"

Restauranthuset Malin has been in Sogndal for 25 years - and what could be better than telling its story in a slightly different way?

We have chosen to call it Scrollytelling. It's more than just text and images. You scroll down the page and see video, titles, images, quotes and text presented in a visual and elegant format. You'll want to keep scrolling, and the combination of the different elements piques your interest.

The good story

Ragnhild Myklemyr working to present the history of Restauranthuset Malin.

Together with Restauranthuset Malin, we've worked a lot on how the story is built up. What elements can tell the story together. We have journalist Ragnhild Myklemyr at Gasta, who is a master at thinking up angles, highlighting good points - and putting together a good story with the right elements.

Malin's story is a personal account of how the Chinese Xian Wu Xu ended up as a chef and started a restaurant on the other side of the world - in Sogndal.

Filming with your phone

Ragnhild has been down at the restaurant and filmed all the movie clips herself. Material Restauranthuset Malin can also use on other occasions.

With the help of a good tool for building up the story, which we integrate into the website, they have a link that can be shared and sent to everyone.

More than 600 views in just a few days, with an average reading time of over 3 minutes. We believe people want experiences like this. Stories that give you a slightly different experience.
