Norwegian Mountain Councils Association – a solution for 29 local mountain councils
The Norwegian Mountaineering Association is the interest organization for mountaineering boards in Norway. When they needed a new website, the need was greater than just a new website for the organization. The local mountaineering boards also needed a good and effective solution for their own websites.
We therefore developed the website for the Norwegian Mountain Boards Association in Squarespace, and at the same time built a template based on the same design and structure. This has been adopted by all 29 local mountain boards.

One template, many websites
With a common template, each mountain guide does not have to start from scratch. They get a well-thought-out design, good structure and the most important page types in place, while content and images can be adapted locally.
It gives the mountain council a more affordable website, and at the same time makes it efficient for us to establish new pages. Squarespace is easy to use and update, so the mountain council can do a lot itself. At the same time, they have a joint support agreement with Gasta and can get help when they need it.

More than a website
On the main website of the Norwegian Mountaineering Association, we have also developed an online store for mountaineering association employees, where they can order branded clothing, equipment and other materials. We have also created a simple intranet for sharing information, documents and resources internally within the organization.
The goal was to gather multiple needs on the same platform and make everyday life easier for both the administration and the local mountain councils.
