Kviknes Hotel

Websites, visual identity and marketing for a historic hotel in the beautiful western Norwegian village of Balestrand.

Kviknes hotel in Balestrand is one of the country's most unique hotels. The Kvikne family has been the hosts here since 1877.

We developed a logo and visual identity in 2006. This has now been further developed. The logo symbol, taken from the interior of the famous Høyvik hall, has been repositioned and the color palette has been changed.

We have also further developed the websites. These are well-visited pages and are the websites in De Historiske that provide the most bookings from the websites, with the booking system Synxis closely integrated on the pages.

The web design focuses on large image areas and the use of air. Where the old pages had an extensive drop-down menu, these new pages have a mega menu with photos - which we give a simple structure and good user experience, also on mobile and tablet.

We have also helped with digital marketing in the form of content production and advertising. In this way, they ensure activity in digital channels and more awareness of the website.
