New in Squarespace - Refresh 2025

Lots of excitement and lots of AI! The new features that Squarespace launched during Circle Day 2025 are really worth checking out.

Circle Day is Squarespace's annual event held each fall. It brings together Squarespace executives, agencies, and web design and digital professionals from around the world to share knowledge, showcase new features, and inspire better web design.

Since we are a Squarespace Platinum agency and Enterprise customer, it was natural that we would participate on September 18th, at least digitally... And there are many new and exciting things that will be launched in the coming months.

Beacon AI

We’re really looking forward to this. Beacon AI gives you step-by-step guidance exactly when you need it, no matter where you’re working in the platform. You get tools to help you check and improve how visible your website is in search engines and AI platforms. A built-in AI scanner goes through your site, finds technical errors and suggests how to fix them.

You also get smart tools that automatically create text for products, services, discounts and FAQs – pre-written and ready to use. To be launched in 2025.

Improve responsive design / mobile control

Now, both you as a Squarespace user and us, can easily go in and hide text or photos on mobile. Now we get even better control over layout on mobile. This is what we've been waiting for! Launched and available to all Circle customers ( Gasta -customers).

Animations

You as a customer, and we as an agency, get tons of options to add animations, transformations (rotation, scale, etc.). Simply more advanced design control at the block level. To be launched in 2025.

Font upload

Now it's easy to upload fonts. So you can get exactly the font you have in your profile manual. This feature has already been launched.

New in online store

Squarespace has spent large resources in 2025 on developing the online store. Now we have Klarna, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Stripe Link. At the same time, Squarespace is investing heavily in its own payment solution, Squarespace Payments. This has been launched in Finland, but we do not have a clear date for Norway.

All of this has meant that we have also chosen to focus more heavily on online stores in the future. We will have more information about online stores shortly.

Lots of new things coming to Squarespace eCommerce in 2025!

For us as a Squarespace Enterprise customer, it is positive to see that Squarespace continues its positive development. They now have close to 2,000 employees in the US and Ireland, a turnover of around NOK 10 billion and we are talking about around 5 million licenses.

Good to know for those of you who have invested in Squarespace as your publishing tool. But please note that most of these new features only apply to Squarespace 7.1, not 7.0. Maybe it's time to think about upgrading , if you haven't done so.
