A real "makeover" for Brødrene Aa

The brand promise "Energy efficient ferries in carbon fiber" was developed together back in 2016, and is still going strong today.

Ole André Aa is Sales and Marketing Manager at Brødrene Aa and has played a key role in the development of the new website and updated profile. The logo, fonts, colors and design have been renewed.

- "It actually started with the idea that we should upgrade to Squarespace version 7.1, for more technical reasons. But when we started, we realized that we wanted a real upgrade of our entire brand," says the marketing manager.

- We needed a boost.

From blue to "finer" blue

The logo and website were developed in 2013, also in Squarespace. Things have been adapted over the eleven years, but now it was time for a real "makeover". 

- Blue has always been our color. It is a maritime color and is the color we have on work shields, helmets and not least several of our hulls. So we didn't want to move away from the clear blue colour, but to make an adjustment and modernize.

- Now we've gone from blue to "finer blue". The whole design of the website is more minimalist and stylish. It shows quality and I think we've achieved a wow effect," says Aa.

Highlighting boat design

Previously, the website has shown deliveries, but has not emphasized the design of the boats to the same extent. "Not everyone knows that Brødrene Aa develops boats from the drawing board to launch. They have their own designers who work closely with the engineers.  

- We wanted to communicate this better, and I think we're doing that now. In addition, all our vessel deliveries have been given plenty of space on the website with nice pictures. It gives a sense of premium quality - which is what we want.

Long-term customer relationship

The vision of Gasta is to create success stories and good customer relationships. Therefore, long-term customer relationships are something we value highly. With a customer relationship dating back to 2003, we know Brødrene Aa well, which also makes collaboration effective.  

- "It's easy to communicate what we want and get it the way we want it. It's good to have a partner who's an expert in the tool we're working with, and who's also good at design. Our collaboration is efficient and good - Gasta delivers and is great to work with.
