New: Create QR code directly in Squarespace

A QR code can be used smartly in your marketing.

Now you can finally create a QR code for your website directly in Squarespace. A clever way to connect physical and digital marketing.

The new feature will be launched for all users from April 2025. With this, you can easily generate QR codes directly from your website, without having to use an external tool.

QR code in marketing

A QR code (Quick Response code) can be a bit like a barcode. The code is often printed on physical marketing materials such as posters, product labels or brochures. Scanning the code with a mobile phone camera takes you directly to a web address - for example, your website. A clever way to connect physical and digital marketing, by making it easy for customers to find menus, campaign pages, contact information or booking. But you can also display the code on digital screens, the important thing is that people will scan it with their own mobile phone to find more information.

How to generate QR code in Squarespace:

  1. Log in to Squarespace and navigate to the page in the left panel that you want to create a QR code for. Hover over the page name and click the gear icon to bring up settings.

2. In the pop-up, turn on the QR code switch so that it turns green/enabled, then the QR code will appear. Hover your mouse over the QR code and press “Download QR code” to download the PNG file to your computer

We know that many of our customers will benefit from this!

Note: For now, you can only create QR codes for individual pages, not for blogs or portfolios. But we expect that there may be more developments in the future.

As the only Squarespace Enterprise member in Norway , we closely follow the development of Squarespace. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch !
