Are you ready for autumn?

August is here, and it's time to look ahead and plan your marketing for the fall. Here are some tips on what you should prioritize.

Make time for a clean-up

After a long and enjoyable summer vacation, it might be a good idea to start with a little autumn cleaning on your website, Google My Business and social media.

  • Are the opening hours and contact information correct?

  • Are you adding or removing any employees from the contact page?

  • What about your front page, has it been updated?

  • Are there any summer greetings or expired campaigns you should remove?

Remember that a good clean-up before the fall is useful for both you and your customers.

Don't forget Google My Business

And speaking of Google My Business: Did you know you can link this directly to your website in Squarespace?

This makes it even easier to edit contact information and opening hours, and you can make changes directly in Squarespace.

Do you have anything new to tell us?

Autumn is the time to look ahead. Perhaps something is happening that you should tell us about? Are you getting a new colleague, embarking on an exciting project or bringing in new products?

The News field on the website is a good place to show what's happening. After the summer, there's often a lot of old stuff out there, and it can be nice to publish something new to show that they're up and running again after the holidays.

You don't always have to be so ambitious, and the small things can often be just as good as the bigger ones. Regardless, it may be a good idea to make a small battle plan for article production throughout the fall.

What about social media?

Facebook and Instagram are also a good place for current affairs. In addition to sharing articles from your website here, you can show your followers what's happening behind the scenes and give them a glimpse of your daily life.

It may also be a good idea to make a small plan here. If you don't know about specific issues yet, you can make a simple list of suggested topics or focus areas.

Be out in good time

Are you running any promotions or offers this fall? Or maybe it would be fun to have a Christmas calendar in December?

Regardless of the scope, these types of activities should be planned well in advance to avoid last-minute work and unnecessary stress.

Make a list of the activities you want to carry out, and write down which channels you will use and what you need for each item. Then you'll have the list ready and can follow it up throughout the fall.
