With well-placed digital ads, Allmuen restaurant reached hungry Bergen residents at the right time and place. Together, we ensured that their new concept was fully realized.

- I don't have a single chair left, and there's a waiting list of people for every brunch day. A lot of fun!

The restaurant Allmuen, right in the center of Bergen, describes itself as a "neighborhood bistro with flavors from around the world on local ingredients".

They have an exciting concept with local produce and a seasonal menu, and have been named Local Food Restaurant of the Year 2023 at the Bergen Food Festival.

Gasta has collaborated with Allmuen on advertising for almost two years, so it's extra nice to see them succeed.

Christmas brunch was a hit

Would you like to go to a Christmas brunch?

As a restaurant, it can be challenging to get enough orders during the day. In the run-up to Christmas, they have therefore launched the Christmas brunch concept, where they serve delicious Christmas food every Saturday from 11-15.

The job of Gasta was to communicate this to the right target group and secure orders.

The concept quickly became fully booked, and they had to add more brunch days on Sundays. We updated the ads and communicated that "Wow, what an amazing response! Now we've added more brunch days, so book today". It worked like a charm, and all the Christmas brunches are now fully booked:

- "We are fully booked for Christmas brunch every day of the year," says day-to-day manager Jana Bergmann.

So, what was the key to success?

The general public have good photographers, in addition to being skilled at food styling. You can almost smell the food through the screen!

Gasta Their job is to advise on messaging, what type of video and image is needed, and to make sure they reach the right people at the right time through paid advertising.

This time we used a combination of photo and video, and were clear in all communication: This is a new concept, there are a limited number of days and it's perfect for those who are going Christmas shopping. And don't forget to reserve a table, because this place fills up fast!

The message was communicated primarily through Meta's network such as Facebook and Instagram, in the form of paid ads. In combination with good information on the website and organic content.

A good concept, good timing, the right advertising budget and engaging ads were a hit. It's fun when the customer gets such a good response!

Close collaboration over time

We like this way of working at Gasta . Over time, digital marketer Ingvild has collaborated with day-to-day manager Jana Bergmann on what to publish, when and how. They do a little and we do a little, and together we get the best results!

For the record: They have created their Squarespace website themselves. But they need advice on marketing and especially paid advertising. Since January 2023, we have had a fixed agreement on this, where Ingvild advises on campaign strategy, manages ads on all platforms and reports/analyzes results at fixed intervals.
