Say hello to student Fredrik!

Fredrik Ringen is with us for an 8-week internship to complete his bachelor's degree in PR, communication and media at Volda University College.

– Using the internship period to learn from the most competent people in the field, while also being able to be in Sogn, is a perfect combination for me.

Fredrik has extensive experience with photography, film, text and social media – and runs his own content production company. Last Friday he was seen as a photographer at Sognafest. He is also working diligently to learn Squarespace and customize websites to suit the needs of the client.

– Gasta working with so many different clients. I've already shot videos of salmon ready to spawn, and taken pictures of cider packaging, to name a few. The breadth of companies that benefit from the expertise here is pretty cool to see!

The 27-year-old is originally from Fredrikstad, but has in recent years taken root in Western Norway. Especially here in Sogn. When he's not creating content, we can often find him skiing or snowboarding, in a climbing harness in the mountains - or out in the sea in a wetsuit.

– Even though I have a thick L and write in Bokmål, Sogn has managed to become home for me. It is the mountains, fjords and people that make students like me choose to stay!
