Beware of fake Squarespace messages

Squarespace is warning of scam attempts where unauthorized individuals are posing as Squarespace or professional web developers.
The goal of these messages is often to get the recipient to pay for supposedly necessary updates or share login information. Be aware that Gasta will never charge for urgent Squarespace updates. For customers with an operating and support agreement, we handle Squarespace invoices and re-invoice them in the usual way.

What should you pay attention to?
Suspicious emails via contact form
Some scammers use contact forms on websites to send messages that look credible. Be extra cautious if you receive messages about critical errors, updates, or payment requirements that you don't recognize.
Fake Squarespace pages
If you are redirected to a page that looks like Squarespace but seems suspicious, do not log in or provide any information. Fake websites are often used to steal usernames and passwords.
Messages with payment links
Be careful if you receive messages that contain payment links or requests to pay for services you have not ordered.
How to protect yourself
Be sure of how you are usually contacted by Squarespace.

Use strong passwords and two-factor authentication (2FA) on Squarespace, Google, and other important accounts.
Always check the sender address and links before clicking.
