Many people ask us about integration between Vipps and Squarespace. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions related to this.

Does Squarespace support payment via Vipps?

The simple answer is no. Squarespace's solution for online stores does not have payment via Vipps as standard.

Until September 2025, this was a bit of a challenge, but now Squarespace has (finally) added support for Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay - and not least Stripe Link. This gives you much of the same easy and fast way to pay for your goods.

What is Stripe Link?

Stripe Link is a feature in Stripe that makes payments faster and easier for your customers. When a customer has used Link before, their card information is stored securely with Stripe – so that the next purchase can be made with one click. This means customers don't have to enter their card information every time, and payments are faster → fewer people cancel the purchase. Stripe Link works automatically for everyone who has activated Stripe in Squarespace

Klarna makes shopping online easy and safe

From autumn 2025, you will also get Klarna as a payment solution in your Squarespace online store. Customers can choose between several payment methods – for example, paying all at once, in 30 days, or splitting the purchase. For everyone who has a Klarna profile (and there are many!), checkout is at least as easy - and faster than Vipps. It is done in just a few clicks. And Klarna is safe in that Klarna takes care of the payment, so customers do not share card information directly with the store.

What is Squarespace Payments?

Squarespace launched its own payment solution in 2023 called Squarespace Payments . It supports all standard credit cards in addition to ApplePay, AfterPay and Klarna. Squarespace has announced that they will support more payment methods in the near future. Squarespace Payments is available in the US, Canada, UK, Finland (Sept 2025). We currently have no information about when Payments will be launched in Norway.

Will there be support for Vipps in the future?

Even though it is no longer so “critical” to have Vipps, there are many Norwegian customers who want this, so we are crossing our fingers! But if there is support for Vipps, it will be via Squarespace Payments. The company has ambitious plans for Payments, and we will of course update our customers the day Vipps becomes available.
